Questions, answered

Wait — is this a "made-to-order" thing?
Yes. Debut Editions are built when you order them. That's why we offer so many formats per design without warehousing all of them — your order is what kicks off production. Most ship within 2–4 business days plus shipping time.
How is this different from your regular products?
It isn't, once it exists. The Debut Edition you order becomes a permanent product on the site for anyone to order after you. You're just the first.
Why do some formats show "Be the first!" and others don't?
If we've already made a particular design on a particular format (say, "Bikini Cowboy" on a tee), that's a regular product — instant. If a customer hasn't asked for "Bikini Cowboy on a hoodie" yet, it stays available as a Debut Edition until somebody orders the first one.
What if I want a Debut Edition but I'm not sure about size or color?
No risk in starting one — clicking "Be the first!" just confirms you want the format. Once the product page builds, you choose size and color like any other product and check out from there.
Will my Debut Edition look exactly like the t-shirt design?
The design transfers exactly. The way it sits on the format adjusts to fit (a coaster gets a colored background, a mug wraps the design around both sides, etc.) but the artwork itself is the same one our designers drew.
What if my order doesn't come through right away?
If we're at high demand, occasionally a Debut Edition needs to be checked out as a pre-order — same price, same product, just shipped the next business day instead of immediately. You'll be told if that's the case before checkout.
Does the designer get paid for Debut Editions?
Yes. Every sale of a Debut Edition pays the designer the same royalty as any other product. The whole reason we built this system is so more of our designs can find their right home.
